Registered Nurse (RN) | $58/Hour | 6-Month Local Contract
Heartline Staffing is accepting applications for upcoming August and September orientation classes for Registered Nurses in Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania.
This is a 6-month local contract supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a state-operated residential healthcare setting.

About the Assignment:
Registered Nurses provide comprehensive nursing care for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a structured residential healthcare environment. Responsibilities include resident assessments, medication administration, care planning, clinical documentation, supervising nursing staff, responding to changes in resident condition, and collaborating with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Some individuals may have challenging behaviors. This assignment is best suited for RNs who demonstrate strong clinical judgment, professionalism, patience, and compassion while providing resident-centered care.
Orientation is mandatory, paid, and runs for approximately 3 weeks, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, before transitioning to the assigned shift.

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Active Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Ability to work a full-time, 40-hour per week schedule for the duration of the 6-month contract.
- Ability to successfully complete the required paid three-week orientation program prior to starting the assigned shift.
- Knowledge of nursing assessment, medication administration, care planning, clinical documentation, and infection prevention.
- Ability to supervise and collaborate with Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and other interdisciplinary team members.
- Ability to work professionally with adults who have intellectual and developmental disabilities, including individuals with behavioral challenges.
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, critical thinking, and leadership skills.
- Must be dependable, compassionate, and committed to providing quality resident-centered nursing care.
